At the completion of this on-demand course on character education, you will be able to:

• Gain a shared language and define character, virtues, and how character is developed.

Module 2: What is Character?

• Distinguish between the two types of character dispositions, virtues and vices. 
• Identify examples of virtues. 

Module 3: How is Character Developed?

• Define seven strategies for character development.
• Identify ways students can become more virtuous engineers. 

Module 4: Selecting Virtues for Your Course or Program

• Identify criteria to be used when choosing virtues to integrate in your course or program.
• Reflect on the virtues that align with your course or program.

Module 5: Developing Character Based Learning Outcomes

• Describe the defining features of a character based learning outcome.
• Create character based learning outcomes.
